Where is an example of a film that you made with the
Sony HDR-CX100 AVCHD? HD Camcorder with Smile Shutter & 10x Optical? Zoom (Silver) ?
March 25th, 2012 at 9:13 pm
@dangerkadung The t2i costs about the same with a bundled kit lens, and it is much better for independent filmmakers. Most low budgeters on youtube are using the t2i, the t3i, the 60D or? one of Canon?s more expensive DSLRs. Just look up filmriot?s DSLR episodes for more info.

Where are the videos you shot with the Canon HV40 for the month? And how is the stabilizer for this model? Since this was uploaded 2 years ago has there? been a model camera that came out much better than the HV40 for the price? Thanks, and awesome videos!

@TheOfficialResonant I?ve explained this to other people before. After looking over my comment I saw many flaws in how I explained things but if I had pages and pages of space to type as opposed to the 500 characters I was allowed I could explain myself much better.
also, I have made short films before (they?re on my channel) I could go on but again,? not exactly enough space to explain everything I want to. so I?ll stop here and you can go ahead and hate on me due to my poor writing skills.
March 25th, 2012 at 11:08 pm
@hobocamptheater Oh shut up. This kids probably never made a movie before. How about making a million short films, learning from your mistakes, with no budgets. You?ll win awards, like robert rodriguez did. Not? every film director started off wildly rich.

i live in florida near one of the campuses full sail seems a little to razzel dazel and if your familys on low in come well tough shit because the scolarships they have dont pay much, and finnancial aid wont cut it, 50 ? $70,000 a semester? are you out of your damn mind?! no disrespect kinda a nice school but mostly about show and if your wallets low go to UCF you get the same programs and? more and the price 10- $12,000 is at least acceptable
March 26th, 2012 at 12:44 am
@Legolas27596
camera ? required to capture footage
lights ? unless the entire film takes place outside during the day,? required
catering ? you?re either filming for less than 2 hours or you?re a giant ass if you?re not feeding your cast and crew
locations ? you got me there
editing software ? unless you?re doing in camera editing or using something like 2 VCRs that?s also required
comp upgrade ? I said ?possibly need?
also, I thought we were talking about semi-pro stuff??
March 26th, 2012 at 1:17 am
@Legolas27596 1: i will not shut up
2: yeah, I obviously have no experience what-so-ever. I mean, doing your own shorts? isn?t experience, or hard work. it?s nothing.
are you really so dumb as to not check someones channel before patronizing them?
while I didn?t get my point across very clear (not clear at all in fact) my point still stands.
P.S. don?t talk to someone about making a short film when you haven?t. especially if the person you?re talking to has done so.

@Crabfeetz? Low for a filmmaker
March 26th, 2012 at 3:04 am
Could someone please tell me how to do the super sexy slow mo thing because I have the Sony camcorder?
March 26th, 2012 at 3:53 am
@Crabfeetz yup, actually according to the DGA, SAG, and ASC a low budget film is between one and five million lol so one thousand really isn?t? anything xD

March 26th, 2012 at 8:18 am

March 26th, 2012 at 10:40 am
the 12 people who dislike this video are? the companies who make stabilizer like that one and sell it for more than 200$.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:48 am
I? just made one.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:56 am
What is? the thing under the camera with the balanced line mic ports? you can see it at 6:46
March 26th, 2012 at 11:15 am
why did he not use the? cutters
March 26th, 2012 at 11:42 am
I? went through the biggest component store in my area and they didn?t have PVC pipe. This sucks I really wanted to build this.
March 26th, 2012 at 11:48 am
You?re? a genious. I want to make one of these!!
March 26th, 2012 at 12:31 pm
@shooter3048 I use 3/4 inch and just use hockey tape for handles. Its less expensive than actual grips, and feels? a little more stable than 1/2 inch pipe for my heavier rig.
March 26th, 2012 at 12:32 pm
@THETribalDancer Great? tip!
March 26th, 2012 at 1:31 pm
@shooter3048 I like 1/2? because you can slide a? standard bicycle grip over it. Glad you?re liking the shows!
March 26th, 2012 at 1:37 pm
This guy has? a big resemblance with Ron Reagan ( Ronald Reagan s son ) >_
March 26th, 2012 at 2:34 pm
I completely followed this? entire tutorial and it works!!!! You freaking rock dude thanks so much for helping me!
March 26th, 2012 at 3:11 pm
cool stuff great job thanks? for posting
March 26th, 2012 at 3:21 pm
Scott, Very nice work you are doing! It really helps.
Question: Would it be benefical or detrimental to use 3/4? PVC instead of 1/2? on all your PVC? projects?
Keep up the great work. I look forward to it every week!
DALaman
March 26th, 2012 at 3:30 pm
I make it. It works pretty well, except when I need to zoom, I have to take my hand off the? handle, and hold the camera, which makes it not well steadied. But when I don?t need to zoom, it works beautifully!
March 26th, 2012 at 3:42 pm
@THETribalDancer thanks a lot, I can go ahead and set it up then. yeah, I figured on placing a? T connector in place of every front pipe (4) so I have plenty of room for add-ons in the future, treating it the same way I buy RAM
March 26th, 2012 at 4:37 pm
I wanted to drop in and? share one last detail (can you stand it?!) I used a FLATHEAD machine screw instead of a phillips, so I could use a quarter to lock down my camera.
March 26th, 2012 at 4:45 pm
@dustincarlton It fit just great?like it was made for it, frankly. When I get my shotgun mic set up, it won?t be tall enough to accommodate it seated into the? hot shoe, but then I will likely just rig up a topside mount ON the stabilizer rig itself, as he demonstrates with the V2 he shows at the latter part of the video. I already incorporated the lower cross fitting (bottom front), so I could mount a flashlight, or lapel mic on a PCV ?boom? in the future.
March 26th, 2012 at 5:03 pm
@THETribalDancer does your Canon EOS 60D fit into the rig as described or did you need to make changes in the lengths? I?m asking because I?ve got one on it?s way + I need it for a shoot almost immediately so I thought I?d build the rig before it? arrives because it?s likely I won?t have time after it arrives to build the thing before I need it. thanks
