Shatner's bizarre tale trumps his Emmy wins
By Randee Dawn, TODAY contributor
Winning an Emmy award is a major occurrence in the life of anyone who works in television. For William Shatner -- who picked up his two prizes in 2004 and 2005, for "The Practice" and "Boston Legal" respectively -- however, it was only the second-most exciting night of his life.
You'll want to know what he told Jimmy Kimmel was the No. 1 most exciting night of his life in a special segment called "Emmy Memories" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
As for what made that night so exciting, well, let's just say it involved fellow "Star Trek" alumni Leonard Nimoy, George Takei ... and bath salts?! Just watch the clip above.
Catch more Kimmel on Sunday night when the late-night funnyman hosts the 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards.
